CBMC is a Movement of Men with the focus on building life-on-life relationships so that God is glorified by strong husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, friends, and business associates.  CBMC began in Chicago in 1930 during the Great Depression and was first organized in Oklahoma City in 1958.  In December 1983, Dr. C. Herman and Mareita Reece were the first CBMC/OKC Metro Staff couple.  In October 2002, Nancy Martin joined staff and is now serving as Program Administrator. Harold and Linda Armstrong joined the CBMC/USA Staff in October 2006.  Harold serves as the CBMC/OKC Executive Metro Director.

Downtown OKCOur most visible event is the Metro Prayer Breakfast.  The Breakfast is held in the spring each year at the Cox Convention Center with attendance at approximately 1600.  On Wednesday, April 11, 2012, our speaker is going to be Dr. Steve Scheibner.  As a pilot for American Airlines, Steve was very close to the event of September 11, 2011.  Originally scheduled to be the First Officer on Flight 11, the first plane to hit the World Trade Center, Steve knows first hand what it means to have someone die in his place, not once, but twice.  Go to Events to register online.

On the second Tuesday in October, we hold the CBMC Salt & Light Award Dinner at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. We honor a person whose life exemplifies what Jesus described when He said that we should be salt to the earth and light to the world. This year on  Tuesday, October 11, we honored Mart Green, CEO, Mardel, Inc.  Mart shared his life as "reluctant adventurer."  He highlighted several God-directed adventures in his lifetime including Mardel, EthnoGraphic Media, Every Tribe/Every Nation, and his involvement with Oral Roberts University.

CBMC FAX of LIFE began 1991 by sending 25 by hand to the CBMC leaders. We now send 6050 each week via e-mail and another 900 by fax. If you are not currently receiving this weekly inspirational publication, email okc@cbmc.com and communicate your interest in being added.Bricktown

CBMC FORUMS is a fantastic ministry for business owners, CEO’s and top managers. In a CBMC FORUMS, five or six men come together for four or five hours once a month.  It serves as a Christian Board of Directors to help run your business by biblical standards.  This life-on-life relationship soon touches every area of each man’s life, as they disciple each other.  We currently have four Forum teams and are always seeking to begin another one.  The National Forums Director is available to assist with Moderator training and to assist members. cbmcforums.com

Harold ArmstrongMAN-TO-MAN ministry is what the CBMC men’s movement is all about. CBMC has developed a great discipleship tool called Operation Timothy. Operation Timothy is used to guide two men--a Paul and a Timothy--as they develop a one-on-one relationship to become more intimately related to Christ and grow and mature as Christ-followers and pass Him on to others.  CBMC/USA has many other tools to help men in the discipleship and evangelism process.  These may be seen on the web at www.cbmc.com.
