Note from Harold Armstrong - May 2009

At CBMC/OKC, we’ve been “on the move” spiritually and physically. The year 2008 ended with much success spiritually in our ministry to the marketplace and we moved our offices into the beautiful new JASCO international headquarters at 10 E. Memorial Road.  We are very appreciative of the generosity of JASCO/Steve Trice for continuing to provide a great environment for our local ministry. 
           
We hosted two men from CBMC India in mid February.   The objectives were to have a group of India leaders (10 in all) come to the US to begin to cultivate and deepen relationships with like minded business and professionals; to begin to learn how we can better serve one another as we seek to glorify Christ; and to share best practices of how to effectively evangelize and disciple business professionals.

Over a period of five days, we hosted Jaya Pradeep and Ebenezer Jesudason in our home and in the homes of Jim and Beth Hammack, and Herman and Mareita Reece.   Others who extended hospitality included: Steve Trice, Kent Humphreys, Dan Williams, Dallas and Loyce Gandy.  The Hammack’s hosted a dinner for our guests on their last night with us.

A 2009 Strategic Plan for the seven areas of our ministry was developed and submitted to our Board of Directors at the 1/21 meeting.

I met with a single dad, to share my testimony and the Gospel. After an extend time over a meal, he prayed to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  I also began meeting with a very bright young man who has expressed a desire to know more about what it means to receive Christ.  

A Follow Up Training Dinner was held for those who would be making contacts following the Metro Prayer Breakfast.; a good time for training as well as encouragement.  Doug Dowler is serving as coordinator of our follow up efforts.

Our 26th Annual Metro Prayer Breakfast was held on April 1; 1,200 attended.  Tim Philpot’s message was extremely well received.  Many lives were and are being changed for now and eternity as the result of attending and responding to the gospel message presented.

I continue to meet monthly with the men in our two CBMC FORUM’S.

I am still meeting One-On-One with several men weekly and/or biweekly and some of them are in turn meeting with other men as our goal of generational spiritual reproduction is achieved.
